  1. Hi, gr8 post thanks for posting. Information is useful!

  2. Kelly,

Thank you for the vote of confidence. I only know what I have learned in 53 years of living life. It hasn’t always been good and it hasn’t always been bad. There have been many strange twists in my life but I have survived them by learning not to follow the flow and to read between lines. I am truly from the poor side of the tracks and learned that it was up to me to either allow life to hold me down or “buck the system” and that was a play on words. Until we take control of our own futures, whatever we dream will remain a dream.

In today’s economy there are more people struggling than ever before. Yes the Great Depression was bad and we should have learned from it. Regrettably, many didn’t listen or were not taught the messages of survival in lean times. To many grew up with the “American Dream” of “a chicken in every pot” and failed to see the consequences of letting down our guard (in more ways than one). Now with the giant corporations and banks defaulting and more homes lost to bankruptcy and default, people who never had to worry about making ends meet are seeing life through different eyes. The ones who were at the bottom to begin with have been so busy trying to keep their heads above water that they have let go of their dreams. With the giant corporations proving they are long past their value to society, it is time to bring back the small business owner that will not hoard and push our jobs, money and lives into the hands of others but will use the money to build their dreams and bring the monetary flow back into the American melting pot to be stirred, spiced and added to until healing and healthy stew is created. Fighting amongst ourselves is not going to solve anything. Pointing fingers is not going to solve anything either. The time is now and the need is to stand together as a united front to bring jobs, earnings and businesses back to America.

If my words help those who have lost their dreams, need words of encouragement or help those looking for answers in the real world and in the virtual world then so be it! It means that I was able to help someone.

No question is to small and all will be heard. If I do not know the answer, I will search until I find some type of solution. No guarantees that it will be what the person “wants” to hear, but it will be what “everyone” should know. I do not care if the questions are on cooking and everyday living, or on accounting and astro-physics, which believe me I know nothing about, I will search for the truth. It is time to help others and I cannot and will not expect from others what I am not willing to do myself. If I cannot find the answer, I will try to connect the person with someone who can and will help.

I hope those who don’t have questions and may have some answers will rise to my request to offer assistance to others also. Anyone is free to post questions and helpful comments. I am moderating each comment and the only rule is one large main rule. There will be absolutely no derogatory, defamation-type, threatening, pornographic or other types of comments allowed in this sites forums and no mental harm anguish or otherwise mistreatment of another human being will be tolerated.

It is not the time to belittle or destroy another. It is time that instead of the “hand outs theory”, we start giving the “hand up” and bring pride and self worth back to Americans.

I hope you will help pass along this message and thank you very much for your kind response.

  3. This is great informative site you have here!! I am so fortunate to have found this place.I have found a true place here
Thank you for creating this place…

  4. Site Looks Great Mary…

I had made you a new ebook cover for your project
    but i guess you never saw it… ; )

Either that or it just wasn’t your style..

  5. I think i’ve seen this somewhere before…but it’s not bad at all

  6. Roy,

I was having trouble with accessing my domain for a couple days so did not see the cover until last night. I love it very much and thank you. You will be seeing it used very soon. I appreciate the vote of confidence in the book. I hope you like it also.

    Thank you again very much,

    Mary (makingmagic)

  7. Derek,

Thank you! I have the book listed in several giveaways and it also has a site of its own for sales. The publisher also is marketing the book so I am not sure but it is very likely that you may have seen it somewhere before. I only published it about 3 weeks ago so you did not see my book before that. I hope you will take time to read it and give me a comment on it also.

    Thank you,

    Mary (makingmagic)

  8. Robert,

Thank you very much for the compliment. I only speak as I feel and think. If more people would take the time to realize that two people with only one leg each can walk by supporting each other as the other hops, the world could begin to heal and grow. As long as everyone wishes to leave the crust and only eat the center from the pie, why spend the time rolling the dough for the crust and instead just make pudding.

I think everyone can understand that if we continue to think as self-centered individuals and not as a united force, there will be little change. One person may sing as a choir but if enough voices are brought together then some of the worlds most beautiful songs can be sung. Solos are great but a choir can have a soloist, but a soloist cannot be a choir.

    Thank you again,

    Mary (makingmagic)

  9. Where did you take from such kind of information? Can you give me the source?

  10. Hi! I like your srticle and I would like very much to read some more information on this issue. Will you post some more?

  11. GREAT READING ! highly recommended!!!

  12. Nathan,

Thank you for the vote of confidence. It is greatly appreciated. I hope that the information will help others realize their dreams and build a business of their own.

    Mary (makingmagic)

  13. Rather interesting. Has few times re-read for this purpose to remember. Thanks for interesting article. Waiting for trackback

  14. Thank you for the response. I hope it helps you to find the truth in all the “advertising” that we hear online and in the real world.

The second book in the series “Tricks Are Not Really Tricks” is scheduled for release in a week if I do not hit any more snags with publication. I hope you will take a look at both books as they are the continuation of what I have been saying in the blog as well.

I am also building a new blog and domain that will give more information to the ones already marketing with more advanced information, program offers and even a membership to get each of the new books as they are released with resell rights. The details and link will be posted here when ready and are being worked on now so I am not sure what will be in what area as yet.

There will be 5 complete levels of entry for the membership with each upper level containing the information for the levels below and progressing through the advancement of the learning curve. I am doing it this way so that a beginner does not have to spend a fortune that they may not possess to gain information that they do not really need and are not ready for in building their business. I know everyone dreams of hitting the ground running and having the biggest and best but when building a business and unsure of what you are doing this can “kill” your business instead of helping you.

In my two years of research this was one of my biggest barriers to the learning curve. I was getting information for top level marketing before I knew what or how to use an autoresponder which is the third thing that a person must have to build a successful business online.

I try to add a little more information for beginners here on the pages and within my comments when the response would make sense. For your benefit and that of the beginner here is my first lesson of what a beginner would need and where to start. Anyone with questions please just post the comments here and I will respond with the answer that I have found to be the best.

The first three steps of the actual building of a business online:

    1. Choose a good generic domain name so you can expand your business later without confusion for you and your customers. Some hosting companies will give you free hosting with the domain purchase. If you are really strapped for cash this will work for the initial setup but I do not recommend it. Others will give you the domain if you purchase the hosting. This offer is a little better but it is still not my recommendation as there are sometimes issues in the fine print on who owns the actual domain name. My suggestion is to purchase a domain outright and then seek the best hosting company. If the hosting then offers a free domain, accept it and use the one you purchased for your main domain and business and use the free one for your blog or items of interest or even as a personal site about you. Never pay more than $10.00 for a domain name when starting out.

Later if you find you “absolutely must have to die for” a specific domain that is being auctioned and your business is growing to allow for this, then you can consider the “cameo” names. Make sure that you choose a generic name that says something about your business but do not narrow it down to far, also try not to make confusing letter-number combinations unless the combination is part of what you really intend to say. Remember, you will be remembered by your domain name, usernames, and the profiles you allow people to see. Make sure they all project the image you wish people to remember.

    2. Get a good hosting company. Do not fall for the free offers as many will not let you move your pages or add important components later. Make sure to get at least one level above the basic and then check for other benefits as well. The highest level is usually the best but that is not always the case. Do your homework and comparison shopping.

    3. Get a good autoresponder. Make sure that the autoresponder has a high send rate, allows importing of lists and unlimited settings for multiple campaigns and messages on each campaign. One thing to make sure of is the rate that the hosting will allow for your autoresponder. If they do not offer good rates but you cannot afford to pay more at the time, consider upgrading later or adding a separate autoresponder to your account later that will give you more capabilities.

I wish you the best in building your dreams. May success be within the reach of everyone.

    Mary Kellner Coon (makingmagic)

  15. Valuable thoughts and advices. I read your topic with great interest.

  16. In truth, immediately i didn’t understand the essence. But after re-reading all at once became clear.

  17. I really like your blog and i respect your work. I’ll be a frequent visitor.

  18. Ventego,

I thank you very much for your gracious compliment. I have other sites as well but do not get to them as often as I would like.

Below are some of my other sites.

I hope you enjoy them as well. Please tell your friends about the sites as they will all be changing and growing for the better in the near future. I hope to add translators and the chat windows to all the sites if possible when I get them all updated.

I am working on a few more books now also. Keep in touch for information on their releases. I plan to have a membership site soon that will allow members to get the rights to resell the books also. There are so many new things coming. One of the largest will be a new book with more than 1,300 traffic sites links with promo codes when available in one section and another section for a list of hundreds of directories for listing your own websites to help you drive traffic and rankings.

  19. Cornelius,

Thank you for taking the time to reread my words. Sometimes I confuse myself also because I write the same way that I speak. I wish my brain would slow down sometimes so that my mouth and fingers could keep up, but if that happened then I would also get much less done in a day. I am just happy that God gave me gifts that I love to use. I know that sounds like I am a talker because I am a writer. That is far from the truth most of the time. I love to sit back and watch and learn. I am fine talking in small crowds but the interesting things happening around me most of the time will keep me quiet as I watch what truths remain hidden in the world around us.

  20. I added your blog to bookmarks. And i’ll read your articles more often!

  21. Bunker,

Thank you for taking your time to read my blogs. I hope that by following along with my comments that I will help you in some way to find encouragement and information that you need to be successful. I don’t claim to have all the answers. I did I would be God and I am not but I have learned that by learning something new everyday and keeping my mind open to possibilities that others think are foolish we can find new avenues that were left unexplored.

I have been going through a few major changes (all for the better I might add) that has had me occupied for the past few weeks. Heartfelt Global is due for some major additions and overhauls in the next week or so. I hope you will also follow along and see the new changes as the coding for my pages changes and brings some new things for the beginner to light. I will also be adding more information about where to find free programs and information as well and will begin to bring a full learning “mall” to the domain.

Keep in touch! I love to hear from all my readers and I do my best to answer each and every comment personally.

Sending much more information your way in the very near future.

  24. Very interesting and amusing subject. I read with great pleasure.

  25. Clemento,

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. I hope you found some piece of information that will benefit you. My grandmother always told me that you could learn everything you ever wanted in life but if you didn’t share it with others that it was worthless. Gee, maybe that is the true value of so much of what the gurus are charging hundreds and even thousands of dollars for now days. Makes me wonder about the true value of what they are saying when they keep leaving the important pieces out to get you to keep coming back. I know that I make a few enemies in some of them by being so outspoken and I really don’t care. In today’s economy and violent world, it is time to stop digging into everyone’s pocket without giving anything back. An honest day’s work for an honest dollar or a dollar spent on a product that really does what it claims without making you sick or regret buying it later.

If people are struggling to keep a roof over their heads and food on their tables, does it make sense to charge them more than the cost of their rent or mortgage for a product that is “virtually” as good as the paper it is written on. If there is no real help and no real honest commitment to giving honesty then “truth in advertising” should be shutting many down. If a little fish dreamed of being a shark and tried swimming with them without first knowing what was safe and reliable, there would soon be no little fish. The same is true for a beginner that is dreaming of owning a business online. Believe me, I know from experience. I was and still am just like all the other beginners. I started out knowing how to email and researching for college classes. After writing a few essays for college (age 53), I started writing poetry and short stories again but this time had some encouragement to publish them and a friend suggested I create my own website for them. I did (http://makingmagic2008.tripod.com), and I was hooked. I love doing crafts and learning and that became the root to my searching. I wanted to create the sites, learn how they worked and why. I may not be in a league with the big dogs, and don’t really want to be, but I do understand them.

I have also learned that the internet needs someone like Ralph Nadar used to be for product research and comparison when I was a teenager. Ralph Nadar is not available to do this, so someone needs to fill his shoes. I do not want the job as a full-time whistle-blower but I will definitely tell the truth in what I learn.

If a person is only as good as their word, and the words do nothing to help another then the value of the words was nothing.

I hope you will follow me on this adventure and I will soon be adding much more to this site. I know beginners are struggling which is why the beginning information from me has been given freely. I do not seek to steal from anyones pocket. I will be adding a membership and newsletters and more to this site very soon. I will also make a promise that information needed to give a beginner the ability to start and to build a solid foundation will always be free. When they are looking for more in depth information or complicated software as their own search requires, then and only then will the upper levels become necessary. Each level will be of value but without understanding the previous level, the information could prove to be confusing. That doesn’t mean that someone who has been working in the internet wouldn’t find value in the membership or newsletters. What it means is that a beginner would not need to learn HTML or comparison shop for Estore shopping carts, so the lower levels would be fine for them. As they progress they could choose what level and type of information they are seeking.

I will soon be adding to the traffic site pages with many more additional sites and even some promo codes that will help you to get your first credits. All will be free to join and freely given from me to my readers. I will also be updating the giveaway page as I have let that fall behind due to a family emergency and am finally getting reorganized again. I will be adding a bookstore for those who want information and the prices will range from free to the lowest price I can find for the book. It is my hope to be able to offer my readers a full learning experience at their own pace.

I will always do my best to try to answer all comments from my readers personally. I believe that if I am the one that wishes to help them then I should be the one that talks to them. I will also be adding a forum to this site in the near future. I am considering adding a traffic site and safelist of my own but have not made that decision as of yet. Time will tell. It is a goal but the time to do all the other things that I feel are important is my biggest hinderance. I work alone. I do not claim to be a big fish with employees. Everything that you see is done personally by me.

I hope you enjoy the site in the future and will share the site with your friends.

    Mary Kellner Coon (makingmagic)

P.S. Coming soon will be a “sister site” to Heartfelt Global. Inner Focus Shop will be coming soon also and will carry information, newsletters, membership and bookstore in many self-help areas. From caring for your dog to meditation and herbal medicine, you will find information within the Inner Focus Shop. More on that later as the site progresses.

  29. @work at home,
Thank you! I apologize that it has taken me so long to respond. I have been doing some copy writing for others and it has kept me busy. I appreciate your comment and hope you will return often. There are new things coming to this site and I have other sites that will connect in ways many did not think possible. I hope you will watch for all and let me know what you think. I hope to add a few new things today if I do not get side-tracked with the writing.

    Mary (makingmagic)

  30. I read a few topics. I respect your work and added blog to favorites.

  31. Thank you. I appreciate all of my readers. I have been busy putting together some new articles for the site and not only working on the membership for this site with new levels of learning, but will soon have information to help others build their sites mostly for free. I will be bringing areas with new products and more also.

Coming soon!!! A sibling domain to “Heartfelt Global”. “Making Magic” will arrive on the scene by the end of October along with 6 new sub-domains that are all geared to self-help in other areas of daily life. “Soothing Life” will give tips and organizational skills. “Our Animal Friends” will give information on pet care. “Wellness Center” will be devoted to herbal and holistic medicine as well as Reiki, acupuncture and other forms of natural and “self” healing. “Green World Around Us” will bring things ranging from gardening to “going green”. “Creating Tranquil Spaces” will give architectural ideas, outdoor crafts and home decorating ideas and tips. “Blessing And Meditation” will bring just what it says with daily blessings and information to help ease the daily grind and tips on helping to keep ourselves focused without stress.

I am also working on another domain that will be released with the above set. “Now U R Cooking will bring recipes, crafts, things for keeping the children occupied, ways to keep your mate interested, and even menus and help with making the weekly grocery list (including coupons).

  43. Roy,

I know it has been a long time since I have said anything. It is not that I was upset with you. I have been reading your emails, but was also busy putting together all the pieces to the puzzle of internet marketing. I finally got it together and although we are still building it while it is active, I have been astounded with the results.

I wanted to tell you thank you again for creating the new cover for me. I am giving the book (in the original version) as a gift in giveaways, and have done a revision that I will have published in hard cover as well as the ebook version. I loved the cover and it is remaining the same. I will send you a copy of the ebook as soon as I have it loaded (hopefully in the next few days).

I wanted to send you our newest newsletter about what I have been doing and what we silently launched on December 1st. I do value your opinion, and I would love to hear your feedback. I still have to add the membership and several other scripts but the sites are loaded and articles are being added. products are next. We are even getting sign ups from others wanting to place their links within the mall and are now selling site links on a yearly basis. I am adding a copy of the newsletter as the new post here. It contains links that will take you to the “Mall” and instructions on how to navigate inside. I hope you will take time to read it and then send me your feedback. You were one of the first to believe in anything I have ever tried to do and I look forward to your feedback.

We have gotten amazing numbers of hits to pages and returning clicks. That is so encouraging. Looking forward to hearing from you.

The link to take you to the post with the newsletter here in Heartfelt Global: http://heartfeltglobal.info
